| TORONTO (Variety) - David E. Kelley will receive the 1999 Banff Television Festival's Astral Award of Excellence. The writer-producer-creator of ``Ally McBeal,'' ``The Practice,'' ``Picket Fences'' and ``Chicago Hope'' will receive his prize at the Banff Rockie Awards Show on June 14. This year's Banff TV festival, the 20th, will take place June 13-19. Past winners of the award include Don Hewitt, Walter Cronkite, Peter Jennings, Peter Ustinov and Laurence Olivier. |
