E!'s John Henson and Ally McBeal's Greg Germann to Guest Star in AMC's Award-Winning Series "REMEMBER WENN" in August

WOODBURY, N.Y.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Aug. 5, 1998--E! Entertainment's ``Talk Soup'' host John Henson and ``Ally McBeal's'' Greg Germann will guest star in upcoming episodes of American Movie Classics' critically-acclaimed and award-winning series REMEMBER WENN in August, it was announced today by Paula Connelly-Skorka, AMC's Vice President of Series and Original Program Development. REMEMBER WENN airs on a new date and time this season, Fridays at 10:00 p.m. ET/10:30 p.m. PT.

John Henson guest stars in the Friday, Aug. 7 episode as Sheldon Gleeb, the overbearing emcee of the Pittsburgh Radio Achievement Awards. The presentation is held live at WENN and with Jeff Singer (Hugh O'Gorman) and Scott Sherwood (Kevin O'Rourke) nominated against each other for the same role, everyone is in for tempestuous evening. Joanna Kerns (``Growing Pains'') returns to REMEMBER WENN for a second time to guest direct this program.

Greg Germann guest stars in the Friday, Aug. 15 episode as Arden Sage, a popular philosopher/motivational speaker who visits the station to conduct a unique experiment in human relations, having everyone walk in each other shoes for a day. But with Hilary answering the switchboard and Eugenia trying to sign a sponsor, the results are mass confusion. Peter Gerrety (``Homicide'') co-stars in the episode as a sponsor.

REMEMBER WENN has received a multitude of accolades and awards including one Emmy and three CableACEs. In addition, the series received a nomination for a Screen Actors Guild Award for ``Outstanding Performance in an Ensemble Series,'' along with NBC's ``Seinfeld,'' ``Mad About You,'' ``3rd Rock From The Sun'' and ``Frasier.''

Set in Pittsburgh just prior to World War II, REMEMBER WENN focuses on a valiant band of actors, actresses, technicians and producers at radio station WENN. Understaffed and overwhelmed, they bravely attempt to supply their listeners with a daily line-up of live programming.

REMEMBER WENN stars Melinda Mullins as Hilary Booth, Hugh O'Gorman as Jeff Singer, Amanda Naughton as Betty Roberts, Christopher Murney as Mackie Bloom, Kevin O'Rourke as Scott Sherwood, John Bedford Lloyd as Victor Comstock, Tom Beckett as Mr. Foley, Margaret Hall as Gertie, George Hall as Mr. Eldridge, Mary Stout as Eugenia Bremer and Carolee Carmello as Maple LaMarsh.
