Synopsis:

I will survive. If that in anyway includes having hair that’s been put in a blender and set on frappe or wearing elderly gentlemen’s pajamas then you can count me out.

Has Ally forgotten to look in a mirror since her beloved passed on?

Frosty greetings abounded for the new puppy. Without letting Billy’s seat get cold, insensitive clod Richard ushered in the new era of criminal attorney Mark Albert. Actor James LeGros has the Batman lips down to perfection but loses superficial points for annoying Jack Tripper hair. Oh yeah, and the guy can act too.

Does Mark have what it takes to stand out at Cage and Fish?

He did actual lawyering as opposed to the usual revelations fall from the sky method they normally perform. And, anyone who can provoke Ally into yelling and crying, then soothes her all in a ten minute span has at least my tentative approval. Never mind that "We Will Rock You" beats Barry White any day.

So, did you think sparks flew between Ally and this six degrees of separation from Billy?

Speaking of Ally, Calista continues her streak of powerhouse performances as the woman not sure if she has the right to grieve. The office scene with the usually stoic Fish was a masterpiece in awkward honesty. Too bad widow Georgia is MIA that would have made things even more tense.

Did you miss John’s cloying antics that qualify this as a farce, er, comedy or should they give it up and shoot for drama nominations this year?

A couple other farces: The need to compare a woman who murdered her husband to Ally’s grief? That’s some taffy stretching of parallels going on there. And, I’m still hoping to block out the sight of that Broadway eruption in the courtroom.

On the plus side, the montage at the end was a nice goodbye to Gil and hopefully closure for Ally. La-la how the life goes on.
