Synopsis:

Everyone has that moment. That fleeting shimmering giddiness provided by someone or something new. Ally has Larry. And because he’s so new and shimmery, she bought a kissing video and was polling the office for tips.

Mark’s tale of smooching his ninth grade teacher elicited icky images as did Ling’s demonstration on The Biscuit. Richard was furious that he doesn’t inspire that kind of passion in his little tigress. Apparently they no longer meet the average on pit strokes per week. As consolation to Fish after his dismal Tom Jones impersonation, Ling made an effort to purr and prove he’s still money.

Are there still sparks, or should Richard seek out Whipper’s wattle?

That eager guinea pig John, was also busy representing Kimmy against her old firm after she was refused partnership. Larry took the job as opposition, a good choice since he has this way of saying Kimmy’s name like she’s cod liver oil dripping off his tongue. A not so good choice since he’s kissing the forehead of the second chair.

Ally’s antsy, but do you like that for once her relationship isn’t moving at warp speed?

The day after puckering prematurely, Ally was naturally even more annoyed by Larry’s superiority in the courtroom. He swiped through Kimmy’s testimony like Zorro proving once and for all that virtue (she protested the Vagina Monologues, ha-ha, get it?) is vile enough to veto promotion, we can all sleep easy now. All was not lost for John, however, as he and the pretty prude bonded over their mutual twitches.

Has John finally met a match more in his league than icy Nelle?

It sure seems like Ally has met hers. Larry suggested she’s forgotten how to love, shades of Billy yes, but there was none of his bitter sentiment. Later, he called her office and despite the non-chalant mirage, that telltale heart was beating out of her chest. When Larry appeared out of nowhere, Ally reamed off her laundry list of faults and he wasn’t phased in the least, more like pleased.

So, is this the big tease? Are we going to invest in this couple only to have Robert Downey Jr. leave in a few episodes?

Oh, well, Ally received her big kiss at last and can stay shimmery for a wee bit longer.
