Synopsis:

Jon Bon Jovi needs a dating service and other News of the World...

Most of the office has been darn unlucky in love so they enlisted that woman Ms.Pumple, you remember, that expert who couldn’t hook up Mariah Carey. Richard got his elderly woman with excess wattle. Corretta, as usual went non-specific (other than intelligence). And then there’s John despising the whole desperate concept in spit of Glenn and Co.’s serenade that he needs a woman. Of all people to make John think, there was Richard suggesting that marriage and kids is the most fulfilling path.

Corretta and John seem to have a little bitter banter going on, would you like to see them date?

Elaine hit the dating service jackpot, she was set up with Victor. Victor’s a simple guy and Elaine's a girl who performed a Flashdance number at the bar for him. Needless to say that fright had him dumping her until Ally intervened, asking him to see her just once more so she doesn’t think he broke things off because of her singing, that’s her heart. Victor complied because he’s the all round good and guy and also since his eyes twinkle whenever he sees Ally.

Obviously Elaine’s a little too absurd for Victor, would you like to see her in a serious relationship with someone else on the show or is she strictly comic relief?

Speaking of the melding of the absurd and the serious. Ally’s new nine-time offending criminal client Harvey Hall (FYI Frank Fontana) is accused of breaking and entering into his childhood home. Ally herself was regressing, for example she sniffed Victor’s bottom, the same way she did Billy’s at age seven. Anyway it turns out that in their younger years both dreamt of flying to combat the sounds of their parents arguing, only Harvey has bought the wings and practices his take-off like it’s an Olympic sport.

Do you enjoy it when the stories take a whimsical turn or is that a turn off?

This is Ally McBeal, so Harvey’s underlying need to fly stems from a bout with cancer. Ally did her law stuff and got Harv permission to take off from the roof. She and his sister Marie watched him soar across the river as he’d always dreamed. He lay on the shore with a vibrant smile and passed on from a heart attack. Tears.
