Synopsis:

Larry has serious competition.

Change is afoot. In some eyes Ally’s drunk with Hilary power cause she’s starting to fire people and in Jenny’s case, make them bawl like figure skaters. Not that Al has gone all steely she did offer freckles a job with the DA but then Glenn stormed in calling her, um, a female dog and so he had to be fired. Victor warned her against ego-tripping so she rehired Glenn just in time for him to quit and open a firm with his gal pal.

Will you miss the young couple, or like John (still wasting away in Mexico) and every other thinking person is it merely good riddance?

One of Jenny’s former clients Claire (Dame Edna) seems to be more flush with staying power. She appeared to Ally in the form of a bubble (I’m not sure). Anyway Claire was fired because of her heavy handedness with double entendres. Richard and Coretta only managed to prove that she sorta dated her boss, she’s too unattractive to flirt, and that she’s lonely. Claire lost the case but won an assistant's job at Cage, Fish, and McBeal. So much for cost cutting.

Claire: Love her or is she too darn annoying for words?

Ally is too darn annoying for Nelle, telling her to be one of the gang, sing at the bar. Ling (briefly returnethed) got the dim idea to lip-synch a duet while Elaine and it turned out Claire (singing for mortified Nelle) were backstage doing all the work. Richard walked Ling home, she confessed to being lonely as a judge and missing him. Ahh!

Would you like Fish and Ling to get back together even if Lucy’s only on every once in awhile?

Speaking of togetherness, Victor and Ally’s supervised Maddie’s slumber party. The little gals danced to Like A Virgin while the slightly larger gal made eyes at the guy. Maddie fretted that he ex wanted to have sex or a kiss, either one. Later Mad asked mom to demo French kissing with Victor; Ally failed to comply. The elders planned on sharing a bottle of red wine but Ally fell asleep. Victor covered her with a blanket and kissed the top of her hair. Womankind swooned.
